New developments and further developments

The continuous further development of our products in the various sectors is also reflected in GKD's high innovation rate.

Indeed, more than half of all our products are less than five years old. To achieve this high rate of innovation, we consistently rely on computer simulations of new weave types.
This enables us to develop new products quickly and efficiently using the rapid prototyping method before the first mesh exits our loom. Finished components can then be checked for their practical feasibility applying the finite element approach.
In addition, we at GKD have closely interlinked the entire process chain from development of new products to production and quality assurance in our own laboratories. In this way, our employees are able to utilize the practical expertise of production. We incorporate improvements from our development department into our production processes as early as possible, thereby enabling our customers to benefit from products with reproducible top quality.
In addition, we have been successfully collaborating with renowned research institutions throughout the world for many years.
