Mesh laminates
GEKUPLATE mesh laminates consist of multiple layers of stainless steel mesh, which are permanently bonded to one another using a sintering process.
Mesh laminates allow mechanically unstable metal mesh to be integrated with stronger meshes. This produces composite media that offer sufficient stability to produce filters or filter inserts without the need for further support structures.
Mesh laminates can be individually defined and produced to specific requirements. The number of mesh layers can vary from 2 to 8, which allows laminates to be produced with thicknesses of a few 1/10 mm right through to several millimeters.
In their basic form, GEKUPLATE mesh laminates are produced as plates in the dimensions of 915 x 915 mm or 600 x 1,200 mm. Further custom dimensions up to 1,200 x 1,200 mm are available.
Fields of application of the GEKUPLATE mesh laminates include filter elements for Nutsche filters, centrifuges and gas filtration systems. Mesh laminates are also used in fluidization and ventilation applications.
